Wet Grandpa
A downloadable adventure
Wet Grandpa don't care to say much, but his brain is always running. (It was that way before, too). Mostly now it plays back his wife's freshly dead eyes and his own terrible drowning. Sadness and fear haunt his living corpse. In his dreams he reaches out and the water listens. In dreams (and unexamined thoughts) he needs others to be like him. And so the river thrashes landward.
Wet Grandpa is system neutral/D20 agnostic adventure for however many players you can gather together. In it they will seek dubious treasure, find a village on its last legs, and possibly avert a quite unnatural disaster.

*I am biased, Evey is a friend and inspiration.
I had the absolute pleasure of Evey running this for a group I was in a while back using her dark fairytale TTRPG, Broken Wilds (https://violentmedia.itch.io/broken-Wilds) and it was an absolute blast! If I recall, my Hedge Witch, Baba Gronk, got feirself the power to summon leeches and dehydrated the old man. It was beautiful carnage!
It was wonderful to finally get my hands on this incredibly original and tragically poetic adventure that is truly unlike anything else! There's such a flavourful depth and life in so few words and the ridiculous surreality and all too real suffering and loss mix together into something truly strange and sublime.
There's a reason why nearly every time Wet Grandpa is mentioned more than one person says it's the favourite thing they've ever read or played.
Really excellent and grim module. I ran it in 3 sessions using a very simple conversion to Trophy Gold. Each situation presented a lot of complexity and gave our group more than enough material to work with.
An absolutely stellar adventure. We talked about it on our RPG book club podcast, joined by amazing guest Dia Lacina.
